# Types of Poker Hands

The game of poker is a game of chance. At the end of a round, all the bets are collected into a central pot. The player with the best hand wins the pot. There are many types of poker hands. You can bet on a Straight flush, a Royal flush, a Four-of-a-kind, or a Gutshot.

## Straight flush

A straight flush in poker is a winning hand in which a player has all five cards in a row. There are two ways to obtain this winning hand: the flop must contain at least one ace, or a pair of aces. If two aces are dealt, the player must have the ace of one of them, or he will lose the pot.

The basic straight is a straight of cards, but not a straight flush. It is the lowest value straight, and can be beaten by other combinations. When a straight is the highest value, it is called a “royal flush,” and it is the second best poker hand in terms of probability. It’s rare to have a straight flush in poker, but if you have it, you will most likely win.

## Royal flush

The royal flush in poker is the highest hand a player can achieve. It consists of five cards with the same suit, and is the highest hand in both Omaha and Hold’em. However, it is not easy to obtain. If you’ve ever seen a movie where the hero of the story gets dealt a royal flush, you know how hard it is.

The royal flush in poker is the most difficult card combination in poker. On average, poker players fail to make a royal flush 46 times out of 47. If you’ve ever tried and failed to achieve a royal flush, you know how much work it takes. Generally speaking, you have to be patient. A royal flush won’t happen often enough to significantly strengthen your bankroll.

## Four-of-a-kind

In poker, four-of-a-kind is a hand of four identical cards. This hand is called a quad, and it is the third best hand. A quad contains one ace and one card from each suit. It is considered to be a perfect four-of-a-kind.

In a game of Texas Hold’em, the probability of making four of a kind is 0.00256%. In Omaha, the odds are slightly lower. Since players can only use two of their four hole cards in Omaha, the probability of forming four of a kind is 0.0048%.

## Gutshot

Gutshot is a London-based poker club that has since closed. The club was located on Clerkenwell Road. It opened in March 2004 and closed in 2007. It was founded by Barry Martin and Derek Kelly. During its existence, it was the largest poker club in the UK. Gutshot also had a restaurant, bar and Internet cafe.

Gutshots can be played aggressively, but it is important to remember that they rarely hit the right price to call. Gutshot draws can win the game if they are played well and hit a pair of aces on the river. However, if you have the initiative, you should call small bets and fold larger bets.
