The first set of three face-up cards is the flop. The turn card is the fourth card. When the flop is complete, the betting interval begins. The cards are then shown to the remaining players. After the last round of betting, the hand is completed with a showdown.
The best possible hand in Texas hold ’em is a five-card royal flush, which is also known as a “straight.” This is the only possible poker hand that can beat a straight flush, but aces are often treated as the lowest card in some games. The ace is now low in value.
The bettor is then able to match the previous bet, which is called a call. If the bet is not matched, he or she is said to fold. The player who is left with the most money in the pot wins the hand.
